Trump budget proposes slashing research agency funding and capping indirect costs for NIH grants
President Trump's FY2018 budget request to Congress includes deep cuts to research agencies, including a 22% cut for NIH and a 13% cut for basic science spending by the NSF. The document also calls for a uniform 10% cap on the indirect cost rate for all NIH grantees.
