CBE-Life Sciences Education
Editorial Partnership
GSA has joined with the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) as an editorial partner in the publication of
CBE-Life Sciences Education (LSE). As an editorial partner, GSA will help promote the journal, solicit manuscripts, and support LSE in many ways, while ASCB will remain the publisher.
Stefano Bertuzzi, Executive Director of ASCB, and Adam Fagen, Executive Director
of GSA, published a
joint editorial in the September 2013 issue of LSE detailing the new
partnership.
LSE was established in 2002 as Cell Biology Education but was renamed in 2006 to reflect the breadth of its coverage, which spans topics in education across all life science disciplines. The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles on life science education at the K-12, undergraduate, and graduate levels.
Many members of the GSA community have played an active role in the history of LSE, including several GSA members who have served as Editor-in-Chief.
Working with current Editor-in-Chief Erin Dolan, the following members of the
LSE Board have been identified as GSA-affiliated Editors:
Senior Editor
Daron Barnard, Worcester State University [daron.barnard@worcester.edu]
Editors
Jennifer Knight, University of Colorado, Boulder [jennifer.knight@colorado.edu]
Rachelle Spell, Emory University[rspell@emory.edu]
